Yorkshire Art Space Crit.

Iterations 1: Box, drypoint, threads, and canvas.

These works explore how daily life and studio space interweave, using drypoint, thread, and found materials to trace time, repair, and repetition. Created for and discussed during a critical session at Yorkshire Art Space, they reflect the rhythms of domestic tasks alongside the quiet focus of making, documenting lived time through subtle marks and structures.

Threads: A very thin fibre; a theme running through an idea or piece of work; a continuous raised line.

Weaving: The action of forming an object by twisting long pieces of material together.

The homogeneous and heterogeneous experiences of time weave together throughout our lives. Different threads combine and interweave: the thread of daily living merges with the space of the studio and extends outward again. These breaks and connections become one lifetime, documented in the objects and marks created in space—reflections within reflections.
